Valerie Young has over 20 years of experience working with children and families in a variety of capacities, including camp counselor, church musician, choir director, music therapist, and piano teacher. She began working as a Kindermusik Educator in Canada in 1998. Valerie holds a degree in Music Therapy from Wilfrid Laurier University (Waterloo, Canada) and an associate diploma in piano performance from the Royal Conservatory of Music (Toronto, Canada). Since moving to Montana, Valerie has been busy raising four children while establishing and developing her private Kindermusik studio. In 2014 and 2015, Kindermusik with Valerie was awarded “Maestro” status, which recognizes the top Kindermusik programs internationally. As a parent and instructor, Valerie is passionate about the benefits of Kindermusik. She enjoys leading children and families in singing, movement and creative play, and above all, the joy of making music in community.
